25 Countries Urge Immediate End to Conflict in Gaza, Call for Humanitarian Relief
In a powerful joint statement, 25 countries — including the United Kingdom, France, Canada, Australia, and several others from Europe and Asia — have called for an immediate end to the war in Gaza, citing deep alarm over the worsening humanitarian crisis.
The nations expressed heartbreak over the growing civilian death toll, especially reports of Palestinians being killed while simply waiting in line for food. They strongly criticized the severe restrictions on humanitarian aid, demanding that food, water, medicine, and protection be allowed into Gaza without delay or conditions.
“We are witnessing an unacceptable toll on innocent civilians,” the statement declared, urging swift action to protect lives.
The group is pushing for a permanent and unconditional ceasefire, stressing that the priority now must be saving lives and ensuring aid reaches those in desperate need. They also called for the immediate release of all hostages and warned against any moves that could lead to further displacement of Gaza’s already vulnerable population.
Notably, Germany and the United States did not sign the statement — but even so, the message is clear: global patience is wearing thin, and the demand for peace is growing louder.
These countries also reiterated their support for a long-term political solution, specifically a two-state resolution, where both Israelis and Palestinians can live side by side in peace and dignity.
